All relevant information about the Eurasian crane and its relatives with a movie and photos by nature photographer Knut Fischer
In the upper part of the Tourist Information you can find a permanent exhibition about cranes and their stop-over on Ummanz during their migration into the south each autumn
The exhibition contains information boards about the crane itself and it’s rest on Ummanz from mid-September until mid-Ocotber and a 30-minute movie, which gives interesting insights into the life of these impressive large birds. Moreover, there is also a small reading corner with different books for children and adults and a craft room, where you can try to fold an origami-crane.
The entrance fee is 6€ (children 3€).
