Handmade local ceramic handicrafts

Ummanz pottery offers beautifully painted ceramics made by ceramicist Susan Schmorell and her employees. When you cross the bridge to the island of Ummanz a ceramics-loaded handcart is directing you the way to her shop. In the thatched stable of the former parish-ensemble you can find brightly white fayences with motives that are typical for the area.: Red poppy, cranes and seabuckthorn are ornamenting plates, cups and bowls.

Besides pottery, you can also find local products of Ruegen, for example jewellery and paintings local artists, seabuckthorn products made by the Ummanz local Silke Stephan and postcards and calendars of the island.
